ABOUT Sonia
"As a voice-over artist with a savory, warm, and welcoming sound, my journey into recording began as a child. I’d play ‘studio’ with my dad’s old Teac reel-to-reel machine, splicing tape by hand to get just the right sound. It was so much fun. My mom, God bless her, let me cut a hole in my bedroom door to install a red recording light which I wired to my ‘command center’—talk about dedication!
My first real job was in a kitchen, sparking another passion: the art of crafting something just right. I loved making the same dish again and again, tweaking it to perfection, just as I do with my recordings now. Then life threw me yet another spark when I married Lenny Murphy, an Irish Tenor with a love for music, he drafted me into his band! I became a great roadie, sang backup, and loved the experience of live sound.
Years later, those thoughts of recording professionally were still simmering on the back burner. Now, here I am, ready to bring my passion to your project—no splicing needed. And let me tell you, it’s still so much fun."
My culinary background adds authenticity to projects involving food, cuisines, and cooking techniques.
